On my way home from work Tuesdae, Dana calls me up to inform me of Brenna's antics. My darling daughter got the Coppertone from the pool bag and spread it all over the family dog. Dana was putting away groceries when she heard that suspicious silence from Brenna's direction. She went to find poor Bailey just laying there on the couch, his gold fur turned white with sun block. He had that look on is face like, "when will this be over?"
Bailey's a good dog. I just wish he'd do something when Brenna's torturing him like that. I'd like to hear a bark, but he doesn't even whine. Sometimes he'll get up and walk away from her, but sometimes he doesn't do even that. A while back he was laying in the kitchen while Brenna hit him in the head with something hard (I forget what). Dana came because she heard the noise. "What's that hollow sound?"
Teaching Brenna not to grab the dogs' tails is a constant struggle.
I called Mom to tell her about the sun block thing, and she laughed loudly at it. Parents worry about chemicals getting in the young-un's eyes, but for everyone else, it's just hilarious.
