You've probably heard that you can scramble the letters in the middle of a word and still have it be legible. If not, have a look here.

So, I wrote a program that takes some text and does this "legible scrambling" thing to it. Then I wrote another that finds all the words in the dictionary that are identical under this scheme (e.g., blisters = bristles).

Then I tried to come up with some phrases that made sense with these words under both interpretations.

If you hover over the linked words and look at the link, you can tell what the world is supposed to be. The ambiguous words are actually two links--one for each word they match.

I can imagine making a block of text that tells a story with very different meaning depending on how the ambiguous words are read. From there, maybe you can determine something about the reader. For instance, whether you read "inecst" as "insect" or "incest" might be telling.

Unfortunately, I've been too lazy to go to all that trouble, so I'm just dumping this "research" here so it doesn't get completely lost. Let it not be said that I don't contribute to the community.
